This very old white parchment measures right around 5x8.5 in size, and is dated Aug 21, 1862, from the Executive Mansion. It is a return letter to the Secretary of War, written presumably in his hand, and is signed A. Lincoln at the bottom by number 16 himself. It is a perfect size for framing and display, looks really clean, and will show off proudly in any collection. With Lincoln's death now approaching 160 years ago, retail is easily well into the thousands!
