This Bank of the Manhattan Company personal check is dated from July 2, 1930, and made out for $2000.00 by one of the few people that could have afforded it back then, Yankees all timer, Babe Ruth! This particular check is hand-signed TWICE by The Babe in black fountain pen, and both signatures are on the same side of the check! Signatures read George Herman Ruth, and each grades at least an 8 on this historic item that is valued well into the thousands!
