Description
This very old Official League Leader Baseball from Spalding is cubed in G, but pretty well-weathered condition. Beneath the logo, someone has written 1947 World Series, and all over are signatures from what looks to be 28 different players, with most signatures wearing evenly with the ball, and averaging about a 4, with some better and some worse. On the sweet spot, I see Jackie Robinson and Al Gionfriddo, and I'm also seeing signatures from Ralph Branca, Gene Hermanski, Eddie Stanky, Gil Hodges--yes, he was a catcher for the team--Pee Wee Reese, Carl Furillo, Pete Reiser, and many more. A super RARE offering, especially from Robby's famed groundbreaking rookie season, and retail would be, oh, PRICELESS?
