This vintage red-laced baseball has no brand labeled, but is red-stamped on the reverse sweet spot to read a July 13, 1940 date, and has some career achievements listed in black. It is hand-signed against the actual sweet spot in black fountain pen ink by the first NL player to attain the magic number of 500 home runs, Giants HOF'er Mel Ott, and it grades a strong 8.5, and is fully certified by forensic science expert, Chris Morales. With Ott gone now well over 60 years, this stunning collector's item is valued well into the thousands, with a rock bottom minimum to start out with!
